(ages 0-5 / 45 min / limit 20 children) Books Can…© is a unique program that uses popular picture books to promote children’s social and emotional development, and to address challenging behaviors. Registration required. Registrants are expected to attend all six weeks.

The Books Can…© curriculum consists of 6 sessions: Session 1: Attachment and Authenticity; Session 2: Naming Emotions; Session 3: Emotion Coaching; Session 4: Effective Praise; Session 5: Discipline and Setting Limits; Session 6: Temper Tantrums.

Get Ready to Read!

(ages 0-5 / 45 min / limit 20 children) Did you know that children get ready to read long before they enter school? This course highlights an essential early literacy skill at each session. All participants receive a book following each session to practice their newly learned skills at home! Registration required. Registrants are expected to attend all six weeks.

The Get Ready to Read! curriculum consists of six sessions: Session 1: Oral Language and Print Motivation; Session 2: Phonological Awareness; Session 3: Vocabulary; Session 4: Print Awareness; Session 5: Letter Knowledge; Session 6: Narrative Skills and Background Knowledge.
